It's All About Truth

Whether you want to talk about the roots of Christianity, the philosophy of worldview, or the predicament of the modern Christian church, regardless of denomination, the bottom line is the authority of God's Word. There are a few topics that would be fun, like prophecy, cultural mandate, or the political lostness in the Christian realm, but firstly, the Bible.

I've read in a source long forgotten about a story of revelation. Two fellow Christians are discussing the whole truth of the Bible. Of course, one of them has serious doubts to its infallability. So his friend challenges him to take the book home and proceed cutting out the pages with which he disagrees or otherwise questions. Upon meeting again, the doubter has pretty much mangled the Holy Book and reduced it to some quotes of Jesus, not all, mind you, and some nice phrases about how God is love and all.

The question is, who is this person, and who are we to pick and choose which parts of the Bible are going to be included in our own version of Christianity. The truth of the matter is, if you are going to be a believer, it's an all or none deal. There you have it. If you can get past this hurdle of faith, you're good to go. The topics of this site won't make sense otherwise.
